Kelsey's Farm Shop has a huge range of seasonal fruit and vegetables for healthy eating, enough for a different five a day

- every day!

The Farm 

Woollett Hall Farm, home to the Kelseys, is on the River Cray. In addition to the 35 acres of farmed area, many species of local wildlife live in the river woodland and field margins. Crops are hand harvested; grass and fallow break crops and:

Asparagus - Broccoli - Bunch Beetroot - Cauliflower - Chantenay Carrots
Cut Flowers - Gourds - Hay - Pumpkins - Savoy Cabbage - Sweet Corn - Maize


Woollett Hall was originally a mixed livestock farm and has Grade 1 soil which is ideal for growing vegetables. The Kelsey family has farmed in the area since the early 1800s and purchased Woollett Hall Farm in 1955. The cropping was changed to field scale vegetables and in 1966 (after 11 years of successful arable farming), the family opened a shop to sell its produce to the public, converting the cattle yard for the purpose.


In 2005, Bill and Andree took over, representing the 8th generation of family farmers on the land. They grew the farm shop business to draw in supplies from other local farms to increase the distribution of locally grown fruit and vegetables.


They converted one of the barns into "Crayzee Barn" a popular indoor play area with facilities for children form 0-10yrs. This was supported by a DEFRA RES Grant.

In 2014, the Kelseys re-launched Kelsey's Farm Shop in a purpose built eco-friendly facility which now houses the farm shop and deli, Harvel House Farm Butchers plus a fully licensed cafe restaurant serving fresh home cooked meals and snacks.
